Zach Harris Music Studio is committed to providing students with meaningful performance opportunities in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The studio will offer a minimum of two recital opportunities each year, typically held:
Winter Recital (November/December)
Spring Recital (May)
Additional performance opportunities, masterclasses, community performances, or group events may be offered throughout the year as scheduling permits.
While participation is strongly encouraged, students and families may choose whether to participate in each recital.
Students are expected to prepare repertoire appropriate to their current level of study and demonstrate respectful performance etiquette.
Many recital and festival performances require piano accompaniment. When accompaniment is appropriate, students will work with a professional collaborative pianist selected by the studio or approved by the instructor.
Please note:
Accompanist fees are not included in tuition or the annual registration fee.
Families are responsible for all accompanist fees.
Fees vary depending on the accompanist and the amount of rehearsal required.
Students are expected to provide music to the accompanist well in advance of rehearsals and performances.
Students should attend all scheduled rehearsals with their accompanist.
The instructor is happy to assist families in coordinating accompanists when needed.
Some festivals, adjudications, auditions, and solo performances require accompaniment. Students participating in these events should expect to hire an accompanist unless otherwise indicated by the event sponsor.
